Microsoft has combined a wide variety of enterprise Web application functionality into this single platform. Whether your University needs a portal, Web content management, document management, team collaboration, forms-based BPM (business process management), or records and rights management application, SharePoint Server 2007 is Microsoft's offered solution.

This workshop aims at skills transfer to participants and to share insights, experiences, templates and code in using and setting up SharePoint.  (See Programme details below).

There are no costs of attendance: travel and accommodation expenses are funded by TENET, and the only institutional commitment is the time and willingness of staff to share their experience with the rest of the community.

•  Authentication of parties from other organizations who are not on the internal Directory Service.
• How to provision the users and manage their identity.

Community of Practice:

On this day attendees will collaborate to create a community of practice site to which they maycontribute the following:

Ø       Creating and sharing Web Parts.

Ø       Publishing Questions / FAQ / how-to docs

Ø       Contribute Code

DITCHE ("Developing IT Capacity in Higher Education") is a donor-funded capacity development program run by TENET. This event is intended for higher education IT staff who have a substantial responsibility for deploying or managing information technology, in the widest sense of the word, ranging from the purely technical domain to architectural and conceptual issues.
