TENET's mirror service has reached end-of-life, and TENET no longer has a mandate to continue maintaining it. It was formally discontinued on 10 September 2025, and the infrastructure was decommissioned shortly afterwards.
Well before shutting down the service, we notified the projects we hosted and asked that TENET's mirror be removed from their mirror lists. We only proceeded with decommissioning once we'd had confirmation.
Unfortunately, some projects appear not to have updated their systems in spite of those requests, which means you may still see references to our old mirror. To avoid confusion, we’ve created placeholder pages for each decommissioned mirror. These return a standard 410 Gone response so that search engines and tools de-list them, and users receive a clear error message. Where possible, the placeholders link to the project’s official mirror list, and sometimes to local alternatives (for example, FreeBSD). We’ll keep these placeholder sites in place for at least six months.
