The domain name system (DNS) is one of those services that remains invisible, unless it goes awry, in which case the impact is severe. TENET has moderated the ac.za domain space for over 20 years and is working to ensure it remains a trusted domain space.

Bridging Europe, Africa and the Americas – New Collaboration for shared transoceanic networking resilience

Seven leading regional and national Research and Education networks and organisations across multiple continents have established the “Bridging Europe, Africa and the Americas” (BEAA) Collaboration, to increase the resilience of their networks across a set of transoceanic links that interconnect their communities in Eastern and Southern Africa, Europe and Latin America.

Connecting SA’s TVET colleges

By the start of 2022 more than half of the 231 TVET college campuses were connected to the SANReN network as part of the TVET Colleges Connection Programme (TCCP) with plans to connect the remaining 45 by the end of the year.
